Onaanvaarbaar. 😂😂😂 Mooi dag en lekker naweek. Ek sal dit ook vir Sensei stuur. Groete
I started karate more than a year ago to get some exercise. I couldn’t run anymore due to a hip replacement. I decided to give karate a go again because I did it 40 years ago and have good memories of those days. I was mentally and physically strong.
I work in the aviation business as an accountable manager and anybody that might know what it entails knows that you work long hours and that you have a huge responsibility for every aircraft that takes to the sky. My hobbies are gardening and woodwork (when I get time) and both are very physical work. Because of my age (I am almost 60), my hip replacement and not training as often anymore it became more difficult to garden and do woodwork because I was mentally tired, not fit and had very little strength.
Since I started doing karate, I managed to get my mental strength, body strength and fitness back. I can cope with my professional workload and responsibilities and still have energy for my family and hobbies. I have better muscle/body control and the strength in my hip is almost back to normal.
I don’t think you are too old to start doing karate as a sport to improve your lifestyle. Most of us are almost 60 and older. Join us for two to three hours a week at a very reasonable fee and get a full body workout that will give your body and mind strength. And boost your confidence as you will be able defend yourself if and when necessary.
A big bonus for me is also the friendships I built with the other karateka.
We train every Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 18h00 to 19h00/30 at the squash courts in Pierre van Ryneveld.
Come and join us for a good body and mind workout and make friends for life along the way.
